What is a Virtual Private Network (VPN)?

A VPN is a point-to-point connection between the user’s computer and the company’s server that allows private data from telecommuters, business partners, mobile employees and remote sites to be sent securely over a shared or public network. With Virtual Private Networks, links between users and sites can be achieved quickly, inexpensively and safely across the world.

What is a Frame Relay?  

A Frame Relay is an end-to-end managed VPN service that can provide you with secure, high performance connectivity from geographically dispersed locations.

What is a Point-to-Point?

Also known as a "Private Line", a Point-to-Point provides a dedicated 'private' link connecting two or more sites or office locations. It may be used for voice, video, data traffic or a combination of all three.

A Point-to-Point may be provisioned in a variety of ways including as a stand alone service or with Internet access. This type of connection will provide customers with the maximum amount of bandwidth 24 hours a day for the most demanding data applications and high-speed access requirements.
